Case Study

Case Studies

Case studies show how changes to service pages, local architecture, proof placement, and internal linking translate into stronger local search performance.

All three are UK businesses we have worked with directly, and every figure shown appears in the reporting behind it. More about the company behind this work is on our about page, and our methodology sets out how the work is actually done.

Three results, and what they actually show

All three ran over the same six-month window, January to July 2026, and all three are UK businesses working in a defined area. They are published because the figures are evidenced, not because they are typical.

 SectorHeadline resultSix months to
Forum JewellersIndependent jeweller, Broadstone#1 for ‘jewellery’ — 135,000 searches a month, up 99 placesJuly 2026
Offshore PerformanceSea-Doo and Can-Am dealer, Poole+80.8% organic sessions, 20+ new #1 rankingsJuly 2026
LocatorsForklift hire, Dorset and the South‘Forklift hire in Southampton’ #11 → #2July 2026

A fair warning before you read them: these are our strongest results. The jewellery case in particular rested on an established local reputation that a new business would not have, and we say so on the page rather than letting the number speak for itself.

What these figures are, and are not

Every number on these pages is a search position or a traffic figure, taken from rank tracking and Analytics over the same six-month comparison. None of them are revenue.

That is deliberate. Rankings and organic sessions are the part we control and can evidence. What they are worth commercially depends on margins, conversion rates, stock and capacity — things that sit with the client and that no agency should be claiming credit for. An agency quoting you a revenue figure from its own SEO work is usually quoting you the client’s whole business.

We would rather show a smaller number we can stand behind than a larger one we cannot.

The pattern across all three

Different sectors, but the work rhymed:

  • Structure matched to how people actually search — separate pages for the thing someone wants and the place they are searching from, rather than one page attempting both. The town versus county decision comes up every time.
  • Depth on fewer pages, not thin coverage of many. Every one of these results came from making a small number of pages genuinely good, which is also why templated location pages do not work.
  • The Google Business Profile pulling its weight. Free, and in all three cases among the highest-leverage work available — the checklist is here.
  • Six months to judge it. First movement inside two months, the larger gains later. The usual shape.
